I'm having a family party here with a few friends for Summer's birthday in early September.
Right away, some of my sisters
mentioned what a lousy party host I am. One demanded that I scrub all the outdoor cushions and chairs, and instructed me about all the party plates, cups, silverware and other things I need to provide.
But, I do always provide those!
I went crying to Summer about my lack of party skills and that whatever I cook is always suspect...and with good reason!
Summer said "But Mom you always have the Best Parties! Everyone
has a ball at your parties!"
I feel better now. Everyone DOES always have a ripping good time and talk about my parties for years!
My guests do have an unusual time here unfettered by niceties like table cloths, good food, and polite conversation.
She said "Remember the party where all the men got drunk and climbed on my roof and none of them could get off?"
I cheered up
immediately when Summer reminded me of this.

Just wanted to tell you I love the vault shows. I have actually binged listen to a bunch recently. I don’t always have time to listen to them each week, but they are so much fun.
I loved this week's regular show too. I have to say, I have been feeling so exhausted lately myself. I can’t seem to have any stamina. Hopefully we all get through
this exhaustion soon!!
The MOJO you sent at the end of the show was so powerful - I felt tingles. It was the healing one for that ladies mum.
The stuff about Polly and the trash was hilarious!
