Do you see the big Turkey sign out the
window?
When we were little we were fascinated by that place. We would trot by on the sidewalk, sneaking peeks inside.
It was always full of wild loud tough men and women. The big swinging front doors would blow open to show the Cowboys, Indians, alcoholics and Riffraff drinking at the bar and yelling profanities.
Often, with a lot of shouting and swearing, the doors would be
yanked open and a really profane drunken fellow would be forcibly kicked out of the bar.
Actually Kicked! The belligerent screaming person would hit the sidewalk hard, roll across it and into the street.
