My town made the Big World News!  We had a 5.2 (some say 6.2) earthquake in my small town in California, USA.

I was standing in this spot by my garage when the quake hit. The paving stones under my feet began moving in various directions and there was a grinding sound. I was trying to keep my balance while thinking “ Something horrible must be happening in the garage!” 

Then the moving stopped. Then started again. Studio Brenda came running from the studio and her phone was blaring ‘TAKE COVER! TAKE COVER!’  

p.s. We were having what I was told as a kid is "Earthquake Weather." The sky is gloomy and funny looking and there’s a creepy feel to the atmosphere.
