UNEXPECTED CONNECTION!

I got up in the middle of the night and wandered to my art room. 
I flipped on the outside lights and opened the doors to the fenced in cat patio.

I stepped out into the moonlight. And paused!

On the patio, quite close, was a huge beautiful heart shaped glowing white face with piercing black eyes looking into mine. I was entranced. “What creature is this?!”

For a minute and a half or two, both of us stared into each other‘s eyes, unflinching. I was not afraid nor was it. 

I was in wonderment.
The creature seemed the same.
Then the face turned into darkness and disappeared.

It was a beautiful moment in time, but what was it? 

Oddly, this photo and similar popped up on my computer the next morning. It’s called a barn owl.  But I would call it a Prince Of Light And Beauty .
And we had shared a moment of intense connection.
