We spoke to my dad last week on The Dear Venus Show.  He died 16 years ago and my son Josh was born 2 months later.  I named Josh after him and he is very much like my dad.

You told me my dad was saying he could see and visit all the volcanos and stones he wants to, On The Other Side! That he has always been interested in Geology! This was news to me! Most of my family are gone, so I spoke to my aunt and she told me my dad was very interested in volcanoes and stones! Jennifer Cole you have won a reading with venus.

I always wondered if he knew about my son and I got so choked up when you said he said, "Is he winning some kind of award?"  While I was speaking to you on the radio my Josh was abroad taking part in a swimming competition....  And he won 2 bronze medals and 1 gold medal in this competition!.. so it warms my heart to know my dad is with Josh even if he never met him...

CATHERINE'S STORY

Catherine has advanced ovarian cancer and it is quite a shock for her. She was widowed recently and is concerned about her children. She is also concerned about this new Health Journey, this Curious New Adventure in her life.

Catherine never physically knew my mother Margaret, who died Nov. 16, 2010, but she contacted her a few years before she died. She had heard me talk a lot about my mother on the Radio and through my Blog and reached out to her through FaceBook. Although they never met, she sent my mother a beautiful tea cup and saucer and fruit preserves and other sweet things. She brought light into my mother's life.

A few weeks ago, I got this note from Catherine:

"Hey Venus Gal, I was driving this morning and was visualizing healing green energy when Ms. Margaret put silver on the edges for me. I was thinking, 'I wish I had a card I could carry with me of one of your paintings with green and silver and any other color you see fit, the size of a light switch so I can take it with me to my chemo treatments and carry it all the time.

Is it possible you could paint one that size for me and give it a Health Mojo? I bet others would like that too. Blessings"

They are 3" X 5," just right for your purse, pocket, car or work place. I got right on it and painted 2 for Catherine, (shown above.) 

Here is Catherine's response to the tiny paintings.

"When I got the cards, I lay down to rest and put both cards on my chest. When I woke up, I felt so calm and peaceful and I knew that everything would be OK."

And later:

"Wow Ms. Venus, the paintings are so beautiful and when I enter the room they fill me with happiness and joy. I am so glad they are in my living room where all can see and have joy as they enter, too. The colors just pop and the feeling is calm, a great combo, again thank you gal:) Blessings"

A Phone call today with Catherine: "My hair is starting to fall out from the chemo and it is making me very sad. As I drove to my hairdresser today to have my head shaved, your mother's song, 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow!' came on the radio and I felt your mother's hand over mine and I heard her say, "Everything will be alright."

"I carry one Healing Card in my purse and I prop the other one up on the stand where I have my chemo. The nurses and everyone else always cluster around and comment on it."

Catherine tells me the idea for Healing and Love Cards came that day as she was driving the car to the hospital.

She says, "It came from me, your Mom and from the Universe. It was a joint venture. I just suddenly knew that these cards would bring healing and love into people's lives; that you would make personal, 3" X 5" cards for people. People would tell you what they need, want and why and you would paint the cards... just for them!"
